Red Hot Poker is a clump forming perennial flower that is native to South Africa but can be commonly found growing throughout the west coast of the United States. At maturity, this plant reaches the height of 3-4' tall and features a 18-24” clump of sword-shaped bluish-green leaves, 3-4' flower scapes, and 6-10” red tubular flowers that turn yellow at maturity. This plant attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, is resistant to deer, tolerates rabbits, and is drought tolerant.
